Compost

Compost is the result of the recycling of organic matter. Compost is a dark, brownish,
fragmented substance that smells like wood. It is humus containing living organisms and minerals
that can be used as food for plants.

Compost is an excellent soil amendment. It has a high concentration of organic matter and helps
to return to the earth many of its characteristics that have been exhausted with time and use.
